SmartER has acquired the software, employees, and customer contracts of ConciergeStat, which will continue to operate under the newest SmartER offering, SmartConcierge, to complete SmartER’s care coordination technology platform.
SmartER was founded in 2012 by Tom Scaletta, MD and provides automated, cloud-based technology solutions to enhance patient safety and satisfaction and reduce enterprise risk and cost. The original solution, SmartContact, digitally engages patients after an emergency department (ED) or immediate care center visit to uncover next-day well-being, follow-up and service issues. SmartControl is a case management workflow solution that dramatically reduces ED over-utilization and avoidable admissions.
ConciergeStat was founded as BoardRounds in 2014 by Benjamin Jack, MD and provides a technology-enabled service for post-discharge follow-up, a strategy that now complements SmartER’s growing patient engagement platform.
