Offers tips and tricks for Get Organized Month

TAMPA, FL, January 08, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — January is Get Organized Month and College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving®, an award-winning company and industry leader in stress-free solutions for moving and junk-hauling needs, is taking a stand to be neater in 2024. If being more organized is on your list of new year’s resolutions, then the professionals at College HUNKS have some tips and tricks for getting your home ready for the year ahead.

“The new year typically inspires getting organized from our homes to our offices,” said Nick Friedman, Co-Founder and Visionary of College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving. “Kicking off the year in an organized space can help set the tone for the rest of the year. Our team of professionals is ready to support you in 2024 and beyond.”

Step 1, have a plan. Before tackling your clutter and what needs to get organized, consider what your goals are and what you want to accomplish. Do you want to organize your entire house or specific areas? Having a plan will help keep you focused and on track.

Next, use a system for organizing your things. College HUNKS suggests a four-box system, where you can place items in four different categories: Keep, Donate, Sell, and Trash. As you go through your belongings, you can place items in the appropriate boxes.

After you’ve organized your belongings into the four-box system, you can go through the items and start narrowing down items in the Keep box and decide what you truly want to keep and what not to keep. Some questions to consider: Have you used it in the past year? Does it bring you joy or serve a practical purpose? If items don’t fit any of those categories, then it may be time to bid them farewell.

For the items that remain in your home, you can group them into an organization system that works for you from storage bins to shelves and more. Organization takes work, but if you commit to spending at least an hour a week on it, then it can help keep some of the clutter at bay.

College HUNKS also suggests keeping a Donation box in your home throughout the year. Place it in a convenient spot, where you can easily toss in items that you want to donate. Once the box is full, you can take it to your favorite charity. Organizations like Goodwill, Salvation Army and others may accept your items. Check your local charities for details.

If you have larger items like appliances and furniture that you want to get rid of, then the professional teams at College HUNKS can help. They can pick up your items and deliver them to a nearby charity, recycling center or other appropriate location.
