Having joined the institution full-time in 2022, following a year of teaching, Dr. Alomari now oversees all aspects of nursing, allied health, and academic programs at CCI. His primary duties include the development of these programs, the evaluation of their efficacy, and the monitoring of student outcomes. His promotion to the role of Vice-President for Academic Affairs was finalized earlier in 2023.

In his prior roles, Dr. Alomari has been instrumental in navigating several institutions and nursing programs through the complexities of achieving and maintaining accreditation standards. As a respected consultant for nursing curriculum and accreditation, he has also served as a program reviewer for the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, a primary national accreditor of nursing programs in the U.S.

His extensive career in higher education began in 2008 and spans both national and international positions. His teaching portfolio includes stints at West Coast University, United States University, Azusa Pacific University, and Excelsior University, educating undergraduate and graduate students in both traditional and online settings. “My methodology is to do things in a smart way: good quality; shortest time. There is always a better and smarter way to work”. CEO, Dr. Rafat Qahoush brought Dr. Alomari to implement this approach to CCI.

Dr. Alomari is a licensed registered nurse and nurse practitioner, who began his clinical career in critical care. He was conferred with his PhD in nursing from Azusa Pacific University in 2010, where he also earned his master’s degree in nursing in 2008. His nursing journey began in Jordan at the Hashemite University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2003.

An active scholar, Dr. Alomari has published research on cardiovascular disease, oncology, and COVID-19, as well as clinical judgement and inter-professional education. His works have been globally recognized and cited.
