PHILADELPHIA, PA, January 12, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — EQuipt People announces that Sue Szczepkowski, Head of the Lower School at Germantown Academy and a preeminent educator, has joined the organization’s Advisory Board. With over three decades in the education field, Szczepkowski is known for championing accessible and inclusive learning. Her emphasis in providing students and faculty with skill sets for the future aligns with the core mission of EQuipt People to create cultures of understanding through listening.

As the Head of the Lower School at the Philadelphia-based independent school, Germantown Academy, Sue Szczepkowski brings leadership and hope to a Lower School community of 65 teachers, 375 students and their families. From the earliest days of her three decades in education and teaching, Sue has built programs and teams demonstrating her passion and commitment to community and creativity, championing accessible and inclusive learning, and leading diversity initiatives. Sue is continuously seeking new ways to engage and support her faculty and her students, to best prepare them in all skill areas for the needs of the future.
An alum of the University of Pennsylvania, Sue was a championship-winning field hockey player, and continued her commitment to the sport of field hockey through coaching at the college level and with younger players through the USA player development program. She currently coaches Girls on the Run, where she nurtures physical and emotional confidence, as well as a competitive spirit with 8–10-year-old girls. The many skills she learned on the field, still come through in her collaborative leadership style and ability to motivate those around her to see, understand, and develop their potential for greatness. Sue is also an engaged mother to 3 boys, a dedicated soccer and fencing mom, wife, and a doting mom to two dogs. In her quieter time, she reenergizes through landscape design projects, hiking, reading, and spending time with close friends.
